OLPA & the Atlanta Audubon Society

In August 2016, the Atlanta Audubon Society received a grant to restore bird-friendly habitat in the Olmsted Linear Park Deepdene, Friendship Forest and the Peachtree Creek Watershed. They will work together to restore 15 acres of bird habitat and create baseline bird data to aid in conservation planning. This project is funded by Southern Company and the U.S. Forest Service through a 2016 Five Star and Urban Waters grant from the the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF). This project will provide numerous education opportunities and engage 125 community volunteers.  We are very excited about this opportunity to collaborate with partners committed to conserving our wildlife habitats and educating our community on the vital importance of these habitats.
